This is for Holly

I was at Holly's house about a month or so back and fell in love with her toilet...it was olive green and probably about 30 years old....and had this little pully thing on top....last week we had to replace the toilet in our powder room and lookie what I found.....a Kolher toilet with a little pully thing on top...and now it resides in my bathroom...so Holly when you come over, hopefully one day soon....you will feel right at home!!

Open Happiness!

A while back our company decided to have a contest....we were suppose to take our new jingle "Open Happiness" (push the listen up button, which BTW is so cute) and our "Live Positively " campaign (family, environment, community) and combine them into a creative medium (video, poem, art project) which interprets the song and the program, bringing them together in the most creative way we could....there were 3 fantastic prizes to be won, all VIP trips for you and your significant other to spend 4 nights at the Winter Olympics, which includes a stay at the Granville Hotel, all transportation, food and Olympics tickets, and other items estimated value $12000!!


Well how could I resist my creative soul jumped into action! No one could be as creative as me, right? But, I would be up against a lot of creative marketing folks...so I was a bit skeptical. I spent a whole lotta time planning and executing this little baby, only wish I could show everyone in person so much better in person when you can see the 3D, detail and dimension in it. I am so proud of how it came out and regardless of whether I won or not I had a great time planning and making it. Check out my Open Happiness Album (link Below). It was placed in a decorated box so it was like an exciting present to open for the judges. I wanted it to be fun, on the childish side, incorporating images from work and historical items and recycled items...most of all I wanted it to be whimsical....when you open the box you find an album, the first page opens up to be very simple with our moto on it. Underneath when you open it there is a quasi poem and lyrics that go with the new jingle. When you open this the jingle plays as well. Follow the "film" path through the album from the Spring to Winter....along the way you will see what makes me happy.....leading up to the possibility of being at the 2010 Winter Olympics!!

Hiatus..

Well seems like I have been on bit of a hiatus lately...I have an issue with my hand and arm which is causing me grief for scrapbooking and being on the computer. I have been trying but it is slow in coming....so here are a few from a few weeks back when I got together with some of my scrappin' buddies... hope you enjoy....come back later this week I got a surprise for you all!

I am trying to use more old family photo's and get them into some layouts rather than in a drawer. Homestead and Nana are two of those....

Pioneer Woman's cookbook, I ordered it a couple of days ago and officially tomorrow is the day that it releases...! yeah, I know there are a lot of woman out there that follow this gal...if you don't check her out at Pioneer Woman she is hilarious and a wonderful photographer and cook!

One last sail...

Today was the last sail for the year. It was a nice sunny day but a little cold. Glad we got out but the boat is being taken out of the water this week. Sad, it means an end to the summer and the beginning of winter...

To teach or not to teach...

Well I have been asked for quite a while now to teach a class at my LSS store....I have been waffling on the idea since I can not do it during the week due to work and the weekends are so short. Also I have no idea how to teach!!! or how to put a class together...so I have been thinking about it. I have managed to put one LO together and this week will plan another..So here is a question for you all...what do you like to do in a class and what doesn't work in a class setting? Leave me a comment please....I will post shortly the two LO's that I will be teaching...

For the life of me I can not figure out how to add my 'email me' button to my blog, now my profile has my email address but want to put it on my page as well..any suggestions please post or use my email addy in my profile!! Well guess what I forgot...

So another weekend gone...

Well another weekend has past and here we are having great weather....so have been outside a lot and only scrapbooking a little. I have a couple to show you if I can ever get them photographed. Planning on spending more time soon scrapping and catching up. My LSS has some new stuff in and I am going to head over there this week and check it out. I have a labels 8 waiting there for me as well. Trying to get some scrapbooking done seems to be a bit challenging lately. But here is some that I did this weekend. Can you believe it I went to a crop and got ONE LO done!! and a lot of chatting!

Yesterday I had wanted to do some stuff but had a short attention span..so the result was 2 6 x 12 LO's, I think they turned out rather well for such a short period of time!!!

Made this the other day for my DH, not sure he appreciated it!! I thought it was cute!!

I have been a bad bad blogger....my mojo has not been flowing for the past few weeks, but it has been kick started during the last week, I am working on a secret project, shhhh...in about a month or so I can share one of the latest items I have been working on for a contest. August JustCre8 Reveal

Well it is with sadness that I post this JustCre8 reveal for the month of August. This will be the last kit that Sue has put together. I totally support her decision to close JustCre8 to take care of her family and spend more time with them. I am really sad though I loved being on the DT and spending time on the forum with all the gre8 people that hung out there. Everyone was so inspirational and fun going, I love you all to bits. I am not sure what I am going to do with myself now I love having the deadlines to give me a push as well the KITS were outstanding!! The forum and store will be around for a while more so I am going to stick around to the end, but here they are my final four designs....This months kit was as usual fabulous and so much fun to use....hopefully soon I will have a bit more time to use more of it...watch out for one more item a tutorial that I will be posing...

Time flies when you are havin' fun...

Well I am sure you all have been havin' a blast this summer, I know I have. July 1st brought celebrations in Ottawa for Canada Day and lost of weekends have been spent sailing in Lake Ontario. A lot of work has been done around the house as well, it seems like everything needs to be painted this year!

Here are are few recent LO's to share with you that I did for me and a local DT, still trying to scrap as much as I can in between work, working out and having fun there is not much time in the day.

Happy Summer Colours

I have been scrapping in bright summery colours lately and I love it. Bright colours always make me happy. Baby Grace

Ok so I have been a little off my game lately!!! Lots going on, traveling for work a lot. Trying to get stuff done for various DT's. Here are a few to share......not sure I like all of them.....trying out the new Graphic 45 papers, a wee bit different for me but I love the rich colour and pattern in them.
