Superfreak!

For some reason I have that song going around in my head. You know the one that goes, Superfreak, Superfreak, I am freaking ooouuut!!! Well that is me! Destination Create is only a few days away and I am no where near ready to go. I have a very full three days ahead of me at work and nightly commitments so no time to pack I am not sure when I am going to pack up my stuff up let alone get my clothes together...YIKES! Looks like it will be a last minute cram of stuff. But, even if I don't get anything pack I know I am going to have a great time with my freinds on NSD, looking forward to seeing Tina, Kimmie, Janice, Palli, Elli, Jen, Vicki, etc......Hope everyone else has from on Saturday what ever your doing and make sure you take time out to scrap a bit! Just a couple of cards

Just a couple of quick cards, using my new cuttlebug...which is so much fun.....doodle bug ribbon, plain jane chippie, prima flower and Kelly Panacci stamp.

This one is done using a plain white card and various Kelly Panacci stamp sets and boarders, mixed together. Everything is pop dotted, but it is hard to see that detail.

This is for anyone who needs to move towards peace in their lives..

Funny, sometimes I feel so alone in the world, struggling to keep up with work, family, commitments and life. I loose peace with myself and the world. But, then I realize I am not alone, as so many other people are in the same position...for what ever reason, in this crazy world we all go to fast and forget to live a happy and heathly life....

We have all heard about environmental sustainability? One of many, definition is the "Long-term maintenance of ecosystem components and functions for future generations". Environmetal sustainability is topic hot right now, you can barely pic up a magazine, a newspaper or watch tv and not see something about the environment...ECO is everywhere....maintaining our forrest, air and water resources for future generations

But, why not take that concept one step further to personal sustainability? thus..."Long-term maintenance of ones person components and functions for future generations" ??? Sounds interesting doesn't it? It's a concept that I am exploring, trying to find out how to make "ME" sustainable in "MY" environment......as I learn, I will share what is changing for me...

for today, this quote resonates with me.....as it has elements of what I am talking about....

Sustainable pace.

Small efforts bring large results when repeated often enough. And anyone has the ability to make a small effort. Small efforts meet with little or no resistance.

Over time, with patience and persistence, those small efforts can steadily wear down the most formidable challenges. Often, the progress that is the most reliable and unstoppable is the progress that falls below the threshold of detection.

Though each individual effort may seem to have no effect when you make it, at some point you'll look back and realize the enormous impact of all your efforts added together.

When you seek instant gratification from every action, you make life needlessly painful and frustrating. When you choose instead to treat each moment as an opportunity to make a small, positive, long-term investment in your life, the rewards will be many and great.

Progress on your journey with one modest, joyful step at a time. By moving at a sustainable pace, you'll be able to keep moving for as long as it takes to get exactly where you choose to go. Enjoy success and fulfillment as they come, one small effort after another.

Steadily add the special value of each moment to your life, and you'll create a treasure that you can never lose. -- Ralph Marston

Aren't these guys cute?

I am sitting here trying to get ready for Destination Create next weekend. I need to print off pictures, but I seem to be sitting here looking through all the folders and remembering all the good times...instead of printing. I guess that is what S'bing is all about...fond memories. I found these two characters and remembered walking through the Hilton in Honalulu and running accross them in the garden! Penquins in Hawaii who would have guessed....now back to work...

OK one more, I love swans and this is one of my favourite pics...

Stopping by to say HELLO!

It has been a long, long, long last two months, especially the last three weeks. Work has been very hecktic with some really looooong hours. I have also be "on the road again" in Atlanta all week. So I have missed my boards and blogging!

I was lucky enought to take a few hours out for "me" this afternoon and evening to spead some time with Catherine helping out at the Scrapbook and Cards http://scrapbookandcards.com booth at the Toronto Creative Craft and Needle work show. If you have a chance stop by this weekend they are doing lots of make and takes and I know Catherine would love for you all to stop by and say hello! It was nice a relaxing and was my first step to my new "Personal Sustainability" program....someday I will have to share more about this new concept I was introduced to this week...for now...off to bed for me...chow to all my friends out there...chat with you soon..J

Slow as a snail

Not a lot of creativity here today, lots of errands, laundry, cleaning, etc going on. So, as I sit here waiting for the washer to finish, I work on more photos from our vacation again.

Double Post today!!

Very rare, but today is a double post kinda day, so be sure to scroll way down not to miss the other one....

Just a few pics of a friend I made in Bonaire! (well he didn't think so, but he was so cute!)

Some news....

Well an era has come to an end for me..I resigned from the Scraptivity DT. There are a multitude of reasons....personnal, creative, what ever it doesn't matter... the time BEAST has me under the gun as well...I want to use the precious little time I have to scrapbook for me....I have been involved there for 4 years, on the DT for almost 2. Sometime has changed in me in the last 6 months....not sure what, but it is affecting my mojo....hoping to get it back real soon by changing it up. It was a real soul seaching event for me to figure it out...I have been taking about making some changes for a long time to free up some time. But I was scared to leave something that I have been involved with for so long. I love the gurls there, sharing and meeting everyone and didn't want to loose that. A few months back I was going through my SB room and ran accross a single stamp it said "leap". I knew it was time to do exactly that, so here I am leaping! Thanks g for the stamp that you sent me with my CD book, who knew a little stamp would solidify my thoughts....

So here is my last Scraptivity LO, I thought it was appropriate to lift a "g" technique in the process!

Journaling reads (right hand side)

I heard this song the other day …
It struck me right UPSIDE the head
An old John Lennon song..
1971,
Me barely 4 years old
IRONIC
At 40 years
it stopped me in my tracks..
Summarizing my feeling
lately
i was just called a DREAMER
being told it is not realistic to be one
my EXPECTATIONS of people…
Are too high
I want to live in the land of flowers,
Puppy dogs,
Ice cream everyday and
Sunsets on the beach…
UNFORTUNATELY
harsh reality exists
negativity abounds
BUT,
It doesn’t mean that I
Can’t try
To be a DREAMer
and no one is going to stop from
BELIEVING
there is a better world
Or stop me
from trying…to make ONE.

Imagine there's no heavenIt's easy if you try
No hell below usAbove us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to doNothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Thanks for looking....J
