A few recent layouts

Here is my take on the Sketchy Challenge for September from Canadian Scrapbooker.  Thanks Sue for the great sketch.  This is the seashore along the south west side of Bonaire, down by the slave huts.  One of my favourite places on earth!

September Sketchy

I can't believe it is September already...sad that the summer has flown by, sad that it means winter is on it's way.  It is a beautiful day today and it isn't over yet!  Going to go apple picking today and spend time with the family.  But first it is time to post this months Sketchy Challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker!  It was done buy Sue Sykes, I will be posting the outcome sometime this long weekend.  For now enjoy and play along!

 

A couple more!

Here are two more from lately, one more for The Scrapping Nook and the other for Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy challenges.  Snickers is my feral cat that we have had for 9 years, to this day she only trusts me when I am in the dark lying down! She will cuddle but only under those terms.  The second layout is an old photo of my niece, nephew and a few friends kids.  Aren't they cute!  If you have a change head over to CS to play along each month with the Sketchy Challenge!

 

The Scrapping Nook

This month I was sent some 7 Gypsies to work with for my DT stint at the Scrapping Nook.  Also in my kit was Prima letters and some Maya Road stuff!  Go on over to the Nook and check out the online store, lots of new products coming in all the time!

Outcome of Sketchy!

Here is my take on the Sketchy layout for July.  Simple, not complex...not sure if I like it but I do like to try to work with the monthly Sketch over at Canadian Scrapbooker.  This is my niece, Grace she came to see me a few weeks back.  She is cute as a button and such a character!  I wish she could come more often, I would love to see her grow up!  Check out Augusts challenge here!  Join in on the fun and one lucky person might have their layout published! 

Well it is July already!

Not sure how the time has flied by, but it did.  It is time for another challenge from Canadian Scrapbooker it's a Sketchy challenge!  Looks fun doesn't it, now just to find some time to play too!  Come back soon and see what I did with it!  I am in love with stars and can see a fun layout coming on!  Love to see everyone play along too...!

Renovations....

Well long time since I have posted...wondering if anyone is still around....

Lots of things have been happening in my life...for now I will just call them renovations in life!!

Since those have been happening I will be updating my blog soon and doing a little renovation around here as well...so stay tuned, it won't be anything fancy...but this place needs an overhaul.....maybe a few contests, some new scrappy goodness and a bit of photography....

Wow life is flying.....

It has been a while since I posted last, life has been flying by fast...here is a snapshot of life since my last post..

• Work, Work, Work
• Making Xmas presents, I knitted scarves for a lot of people and did a mixed media piece for my niece
• Cleaned the house more than once!
• Went to Vegas for a week..that was fun.
• Organized the basement and one closet.
• Baked for xmas
• Had a great family over for a visit, lov u Kat!
• Fell down the stairs and busted up my tailbone....youch!
• Had my family here for about a week for Xmas.
• Cooked and cooked...and ate and ate
• Made a few layouts for The Scrapping Nook.
• Prepared an online mixed media class....starting soon. 

I am sure there was a lot more, but those are the high lights of November and December.  Here are the layouts that I did for the Nook.......using Teresa Collins paper I started documenting Vegas!
