Summer and Scrappin'

Summer and Scrappin' do not go hand in hand.....I seem to slow down on my scrappin' a bit when the sun heats up.  We seem to be on the boat every weekend or doing something outside.  Also, my scrapbook has been hot, hot, hot this summer.  Unfortunately not with activity, but the heat sits in my loft..so if I do something I sweat it out at the same time. I have a mixed media piece almost done as well.  Will post that shortly as soon as it is done. 

Here are a few layouts done recently but have not had time to share.   

Couple things to share...if you go over to http://www.alterdprojectinc.blogspot.com/ it was my week to post a tutorial.  I made this flower. Go over and check out how to make it!  It was fun to do and you can make it almost out of nothing!  The second one was posted at the beginning of July.  It was fun to make as well...If you have to gone over to the site there is lots of inspiration there and a challange too!

Image transfer

My first image transfer of Coke bottles that I had taken a photo of earlier this year.  Still do not have the hang of this image transfer technique, I must have tried 6 times to get this one...oh well, I guess that is what it is all about, learning how to do it!  Hope you enjoy this, it has grown on me over time.  Well off to post my first Alterd Project piece on the blog, come on over, it is some thing summery and in the colours of the day!!

How Exciting ! New DT Announcement...

I have been messing with paint and scraps lately...

Not a lot of time lately to be creative, but when I have had some I have been picking up a paint brush, cutting a bit of paper and doodling a bunch.  Having fun making something different than scrapbook pages.  Not sure if I am totally in love yet with them but they make me happy since they are such a messy adventure!  Check them out and let me know what you think.

This one I promised a while back, I named her Heidi.  The second one has grown on me and the third one I am not sure of, some parts I like others not so much.

Well off to clean up my studio!  I took a picture I'll post this week, looks like a whirlwind went through her.

And what a difference it makes!!! I also scribbled on her more as well!! I like the scratchy effect!  Tomorrow hopefully I will post her new friend, Heidi....I think I will call her.....stay tuned

She Art

I am taking this on line course in Mix Media.  It is by Christy Tomlinson...most amazing woman to watch how she creates these art pieces.  I have been playing.  Hard for me to be messy but I am finding this kinda...freeing..what ever happens, happens.....

Here is my first She Art piece.  Let me know what you think.  I like it.  As Chritsy says...she's a cutie!



Kaiser Summary

Well, not sure if  I missed out on this one....but here it goes...I love Kaiser products and have done many, many items with all of their great lines.  Here are a few I want to share again..I love all their papers and embellishments!  I was so lucky when I was Featured in Canadian Scrapbooker to be able to use the Pack Your Bags line.  Right now is their design team call so I am trying out.  Wish me luck!
