Wow life is flying.....

It has been a while since I posted last, life has been flying by fast...here is a snapshot of life since my last post..

• Work, Work, Work
• Making Xmas presents, I knitted scarves for a lot of people and did a mixed media piece for my niece
• Cleaned the house more than once!
• Went to Vegas for a week..that was fun.
• Organized the basement and one closet.
• Baked for xmas
• Had a great family over for a visit, lov u Kat!
• Fell down the stairs and busted up my tailbone....youch!
• Had my family here for about a week for Xmas.
• Cooked and cooked...and ate and ate
• Made a few layouts for The Scrapping Nook.
• Prepared an online mixed media class....starting soon. 

I am sure there was a lot more, but those are the high lights of November and December.  Here are the layouts that I did for the Nook.......using Teresa Collins paper I started documenting Vegas!

A late entry to show at Scrapfest but Heidi asked for me to use Graphic 45.  A little different for me, never cut a photo before and in this one I used two...it looks like Grace is holding a doll of herself...so much fun.....hope you enjoy it! 

BOO!

Isn't this the cutest banner for Halloween?  It is made with Kelly Panacci's new products!  As usual they are great and so many different things you can buy.  I made this banner this weekend with the Spotted Canary School kit, by Kelly Panacci.  I you are coming to Scrapfest, in Oshawa this weekend, sign up for this class and you can make your very own banner to decorate your home....there is still room!

Some more new layouts and NEWS!

I will start with the NEWS!  I have been graciously asked to join the DT over at The Scrapping Nook.  I have known many of the girls, some since the beginning of my scrapbooking days.  Janice thank you for the opportunity, I can not wait to get the first kit!  If you have not checked out the store in Welland, ON you definitely should, great store and great girls!!! Also check out the on line store so many goodies that they will ship to you!

Lots to share with you over the next two days..

I have several layouts done and ready to share.  Also a mixed media piece as well.  Just on a roll in the studio and don't want to stop as long as my mojo is here!  I also have a announcement as well AND a altered project to post.  So I will start with a couple of layouts the second one is one of my favs...so 3D and textural.  If you go to Scrapfest in Oshawa in a few weeks, drop by and say HI and see them in person!

Just one to share..

This is my Auntie Joyce...I have not scrapped a lot of my family members other than children so have decided I have to start acquiring photo's of everyone.  My cousin took this a short while ago, I made this simple layout about her. Lots of fussy cutting of some Teresa Collins Christmas paper.  Well off to bed for the night.  See you soon!  J

Summer is almost over...so more scrappin' comes with fall...

Here are a few from last week, I have been trying to scrap some more as Scrapfest - Oshawa is coming up soon and it is time for some new stuff....Basic Grey and Teresa Collins.  Hoping for some more soon, got to get away from surfing the net!  Bye for now. J

Catching up..

Been working on this awhile and have not had a chance to post.  Not sure where I am going to put all these, but love the creative outlet they bring...next up a piece to give to my niece who has been requesting one...in purple and hot pink.

Hope you summer is going well, I am off to my room to be a bit more creative...

For my niece and nephew!  I used a valentine line and a Halloween line....which is totally suitable.

Summer and Scrappin'

Summer and Scrappin' do not go hand in hand.....I seem to slow down on my scrappin' a bit when the sun heats up.  We seem to be on the boat every weekend or doing something outside.  Also, my scrapbook has been hot, hot, hot this summer.  Unfortunately not with activity, but the heat sits in my loft..so if I do something I sweat it out at the same time. I have a mixed media piece almost done as well.  Will post that shortly as soon as it is done.

Couple things to share...if you go over to http://www.alterdprojectinc.blogspot.com/ it was my week to post a tutorial.  I made this flower. Go over and check out how to make it!  It was fun to do and you can make it almost out of nothing!  The second one was posted at the beginning of July.  It was fun to make as well...If you have to gone over to the site there is lots of inspiration there and a challange too!

Image transfer

My first image transfer of Coke bottles that I had taken a photo of earlier this year.  Still do not have the hang of this image transfer technique, I must have tried 6 times to get this one...oh well, I guess that is what it is all about, learning how to do it!  Hope you enjoy this, it has grown on me over time.  Well off to post my first Alterd Project piece on the blog, come on over, it is some thing summery and in the colours of the day!!

How Exciting ! New DT Announcement...

I have been messing with paint and scraps lately...

Not a lot of time lately to be creative, but when I have had some I have been picking up a paint brush, cutting a bit of paper and doodling a bunch.  Having fun making something different than scrapbook pages.  Not sure if I am totally in love yet with them but they make me happy since they are such a messy adventure!  Check them out and let me know what you think.

This one I promised a while back, I named her Heidi.  The second one has grown on me and the third one I am not sure of, some parts I like others not so much.

Well off to clean up my studio!  I took a picture I'll post this week, looks like a whirlwind went through her.

And what a difference it makes!!! I also scribbled on her more as well!! I like the scratchy effect!  Tomorrow hopefully I will post her new friend, Heidi....I think I will call her.....stay tuned

She Art

I am taking this on line course in Mix Media.  It is by Christy Tomlinson...most amazing woman to watch how she creates these art pieces.  I have been playing.  Hard for me to be messy but I am finding this kinda...freeing..what ever happens, happens.....

Here is my first She Art piece.  Let me know what you think.  I like it.  As Chritsy says...she's a cutie!



Kaiser Summary

Well, not sure if  I missed out on this one....but here it goes...I love Kaiser products and have done many, many items with all of their great lines.  Here are a few I want to share again..I love all their papers and embellishments!  I was so lucky when I was Featured in Canadian Scrapbooker to be able to use the Pack Your Bags line.  Right now is their design team call so I am trying out.  Wish me luck!

Something New - Mixed Media

Well the time has come for me try to do something new and creative.  It is Mixed Media....a little of this, a little of that and voila!  I have combined, paint, gesso, puffy cream, inks, sprays, tissue paper, rubons, etc to do these.  It is so much fun to do, messy, messy, messy but oh so freeing!  I did one at SF last week and then when I got home did another...I am itching to do more but want to go get some gesso and more canvases first.  So here they are so for they are titled #1 and #2..This is soooooo not me, but I feel it can so be me if I let it all go! Let me know what you think.

One more from Scrapfest

Have a great time at Scrapfest last weekend with all my friends and acquaintances there.  No scrappin done but a lot of chatting, shopping, eating and laughing.  Thanks everyone for a great weekend!  Looking forward to the fall for the next event!  Here is one more layout that was in the booth.  I think it is one of my faves, not because it is a rocket science layout or that it have anything special on it.  But I love the photo of Grace on it...what a sweet one...thanks for looking.  See you soon...

Scrapfest!

Next weekend is Scrapfest in Kitchener! Can't wait to see all my friends and meet some new ones.  You should come out if you can and do a little shopping, do some make and takes and visit with everyone.  It is a great weekend away.  Come visit me at the Pointer Scrapbooking booth.  I have been scrapping away with all the new products they have and these will be decorating the booth.
